If you’ve been following our ramblings here and our issues blog, you will notice that Carl accurately predicted the election would give the House and Senate to the Democrats. It wasn’t so much that the Democrats won or the Republicans lost – and by a landslide – it’s just that Middle America won. We were tired of what the politicians were doing to us. The question now is whether Pelosi understands this. Here in Oregon, Saxton lost the governorship because he didn’t understand it – although we told him what was happening. Bush definately doesn’t understand – no change there. He’s surrounded himself with Yes men so he thinks he doesn’t have to change.
If the new Democratic leadership in Washington doesn’t understand this. there will be a LOT of incumbents walking in two years like the Republicans are walking now. Greenspan has alreay predicted a high probability that an outsider will with the next presidency.
