Rosa Parks = Thank You!
Rosa Parks is not just the African American hero. She is the hero of everyone that feels oppressed and cut down by forces they have little control over. She showed us that a simple act of courage in an obsure circumstance can have a ripple effect that is not only local or national, but global. She showed us that you can make a difference by acting locally with courage, standing up for what is right and just - even when those around you believe it to be illegal. She showed us that non-volence is the best alternative, and that you can win with non-violence.
