Article 1
The Scripture
We believe the Scripture, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, infallible Word of God. The Holy Spirit authored them as He spoke through holy men of old. They are the only true, unchangeable source for Christian doctrine and practice.
Article II
The Godhead
We believe in the one, sovereign, personal God, who though one, eternally co-exists and is revealed as three persons, yet one in essence: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the trinity is equally active in our redemption. We affirm this historic doctrine of Christianity as scriptural and adequate for faith and reason.
God the Father
We believe that God the Father, the first person of the trinity, is the omnipotent creator and sustainer of the world. He is holy and just, loving and merciful. As Father, He desires a personal and intimate relationship with mankind through Christ Jesus. He is worthy of all love, honor, and obedience.
God the Son
We believe that God the Son, Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinity, is fully divine. Conceived of the Holy Spirit, Jesus became man, though without sin, and died to redeem us from our sins. He rose again for our justification, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will come again in power and glory.
God the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the trinity, points sinners to the Savior by convicting of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He indwells all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, baptizes them into the Body of Christ, sanctifying and sealing them unto the day of redemption.
Article III
Man's Creation and Fall
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam's sin acquired a sin nature, alienating him from God and bringing him under the judicial sentence of death.
Article IV
Salvation
We believe that salvation from spiritual death and hell is a gift of God offered to all mankind by grace and received only by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This salvation results in eternal and abundant life as evidenced by a life committed to pleasing God.
Article V
Christian Living
We believe that as Christians we have been set apart (sanctified) from the world to live a life that brings honor and glory to God. We believe in a call to holy living and a lifelong growth in Christ toward full maturity by the enabling power of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the baptism, empowering, and continual filling of the Holy Spirit as evidenced by personal holiness, giftedness, and fruit of the Holy Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Gal. 5:22). We believe that each Christian can and should experience the diverse gifts and manifestations of the Holy Spirit.
Article VI
The Church
We believe that the invisible, universal church, the body of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all persons who have accepted Christ Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord. The local church is a congregation of believers associated by a covenant of faith, fellowship of the gospel, governed by His Word. Strategic Resources Ministry is not a church, but a parachurch organization. It exists to serve the church.
Article VI
The Final State
We believe that Christians go to be with Christ in heaven, while unbelievers suffer separation from God in hell. We believe in the literal personal return of Jesus Christ ushering in his millennial kingdom on earth. The final judgment of mankind results in the eternal punishment of the unrighteous and the eternal joy of the righteous in the presence of God.
