Healing Bibliography

Townsend. Carl. In Pursuit of Healng: Breaking the Chains that Prevent Healing , For those wrestling with physical, emotional, or spiritual wounds from the past which are binding. This book shares why each of us has those wounds. Jesus had remarkable success in healing those wounds, and the records indicate that all who came to him were healed with the exception of those in a single village. What was his strategy? What was in common with all of these? Why did he have so little success in Nazareth? Jesus made it quite plain that this same authority and power is available today. After Carl battled the loss of his neural system and then the loss of his spouse, he began a journey to the best of prayer warriors to find the secret. Read what he discovered.

Peterson, Eugene. Answering God: The Psalms as Tools for Prayer. Insights on healing from the Psalms, authored here by Eugene Peterson.
Order The Healing of Persons Tournier, Paul. The Healing of Persons
This is classic text by Tournier, translated from the French, that descibes much of Tournier's healing strategy. The book is often hard to find new, but often available from used-book sources for much less than the new price. Tournier wrote many books that developed the theme of the whole-person healing. If you are like me, reading a library copy won't work. I have to reread it frequently.
Hegstrom, Paul, Ph. D. Broken Children, Grown-Up Pain. This is was a real shocker of a book when I read it last year. Dr. Hegstrom's rearch into the human brain led to some surprising conclusions: the brain can rewire itself. Scientists were beginning to realized this, but didn't know how it ws done. Hegstrom discovered the secret. In 2008 this was the best-selling book at Elijahlist.
McMillan, S. I. (M.D.) and Stern, David. None of these Diseases: The Bible's Health Secrets for the 21st Century. A classic book on the health secrets God gave the early Israelite nation through Moses.
